International scientific symposium on problems of the mechanics of deformable bodies dedicated to the 115th anniversary from the birthday of

A.A. ILYUSHIN

On January 20–21, 2026, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University hosted the International Scientific Symposium on problems of the Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Russian mechanician, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Moscow State University, Alexey Antonovich Ilyushin (1911–1998).

International scientific symposium on problems of the mechanics of deformable bodies dedicated to the 115th anniversary from the birthday of A.A. ILYUSHIN

The symposium program comprised plenary lectures and presentations in four sections:

  • Plasticity, thermodynamic processes, and the theory of constitutive relations;
  • Elasticity and viscoelasticity;
  • Dynamics, stability, strength, and failure;
  • Computational mechanics, structural mechanics, and experiment.

The symposium topics reflected the main scientific interests of A. A. Ilyushin and covered a broad range of contemporary problems in the mechanics of deformable bodies.

The event was organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. The symposium was held with financial support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education within the program of the Moscow Center for Fundamental and Applied Mathematics under Agreement No. 075-15-2025-345.
