Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Supercomputer Consortium of Russian Universities, the Faculty of CMC MSU, SRCC MSU announce an international Supercomputer Academy from 19 to 26 September 2020.
The International Supercomputer Academy is a unique opportunity to improve your professional level and undergo training in many scientific schools in a wide range of specializations in the field of supercomputer technologies, parallel computing and intelligent data processing with practical training on supercomputer systems at Moscow State University.
President of the Supercomputer Academy - Rector of MSU, Academician V.A. Sadovnichy. The head of the Academy's curriculum is Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vl. V. Voevodin.
The Academy's curriculum consists of lectures on topical problems of supercomputer technologies and high-performance computing, in-depth scientific schools, master classes and trainings on specific topics of applying supercomputer technologies and the development of parallel algorithms and programs for high-performance computing systems. The main focus of the Academy curriculum is on the problems of building super-scalable applications for solving urgent computationally complex problems.
The program of the Academy includes a scientific conference, at which students of the Academy will be able to present their scientific work. During the work of the Academy, many related educational events are planned: trainings and master classes from leading companies, excursions to the supercomputer complex of Moscow State University, a popular science lecture hall, and much more. The teaching staff of the Academy consists of leading Russian and foreign scientists, professors and teachers of Moscow State University, well-known specialists of the largest IT companies.
The working languages of the Academy are English and Russian, part of the Academy's classes will be conducted in English. All training at the Academy will take place online.
Students who have successfully completed training at the Academy will be issued certificates. The program of the academy provides for the obligatory participation of the students of the academy in the conference "Supercomputer Days in Russia", which will be held from 21 to 22 September 2020. The basic lecture part of the training program will be held within the framework of this conference. The choice of conference events for credit within the Academy curriculum will be determined independently by the students of the Academy.
Senior students, postgraduates, teachers and employees of Russian and foreign higher educational institutions, young scientists and already experienced specialists from Russian organizations, school teachers can take part in the work of the Academy. The selection of participants in the Academy will be held on a competitive basis based on the results of the analysis of recommendations and motivation letters presented during registration, taking into account the number of places in various scientific schools. Only full participation of students in the Academy is possible, partial attendance at the Academy is impossible, the student must attend all working days of the Academy.
