Seminar «Supercomputer technologies in science, education and industry»

Chairman of the organizing committee:

  • Sadovnichy V.A., academician, rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University

Co-Chairs of the organizing committee:

  • Voevodin Vl.V., Corr. RAS, Director of Research Computing Center of Moscow State University
  • Sokolov I.A., academician, dean of the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University

Scientific Secretary of the seminar:

  • Mortikov E.V., Ph.D., Research Computing Center of Moscow State University

The seminar was organized on the basis of the Scientific and Educational Center «Supercomputer Technologies». The reports cover all aspects of the use of supercomputers, parallel computing systems and distributed data processing methods for solving large computational problems. The seminar has a pronounced interdisciplinary nature, however, the various nuances of using supercomputer technologies are of interest to researchers from various fields.

MULTICOMP software package for multilevel predictive modeling of polymer nanocomposites

The report discusses the development of the MULTICOMP software package (SP) intended for the distributed development of new nanocomposite materials using multi-level modeling technology. MULTICOMP SP can run on user workstations running Windows 7 or later, as well as Linux. It allows you to implement multiscale modeling of crosslinked polymeric materials and nanocomposites based on them with the ability to transfer results between different levels of modeling. Using MULTICOMP SP, it is possible to solve various scientific and engineering problems, such as modeling the effect of fillers on the microstructure of a material sample, as well as on its mechanical and thermophysical properties. The graphical user interface of the package makes it easier for users to learn. To demonstrate the capabilities of MULTICOMP, the report presents the results of modeling a hybrid system based on a thermoplastic silicone-urea block copolymer and silicon dioxide nanoparticles.
