The seminar was organized on the basis of the Scientific and Educational Center «Supercomputer Technologies». The reports cover all aspects of the use of supercomputers, parallel computing systems and distributed data processing methods for solving large computational problems. The seminar has a pronounced interdisciplinary nature, however, the various nuances of using supercomputer technologies are of interest to researchers from various fields.

The seminar is supported by the Moscow Center of Fundamental and Applied Mathematics.

PROGRAM
16:30
Aksenov A.A. PhD, TESIS

The use of HPC computing to solve industrial problems in the field of computational fluid dynamics using the FlowVision software package

The report provides an overview of mathematical models implemented in the FlowVision software package and allowing to solve the following problems of liquid, gas and plasma movement:

  • with high and very low Reynolds numbers
  • for supersonic and hypersonic Mach numbers
  • in case of strong interaction with structures (heat transfer and mechanical interactions)
  • in the presence of a two-phase flow of immiscible media with contact surfaces
  • cavitation
  • with gas and particulate fuel combustion
  • aerodynamic surface icing problems
  • in the presence of electric and magnetic fields

An overview of the completed projects of numerical modeling of real industrial products is also given.

The seminar will be held in the form of a webinar on the Zoom platform.
